Celebrating Culture While Supporting Community Development
The AROB Day Community Fundraising Program brings Bougainvilleans and friends of Bougainville together across Australia to celebrate culture, unity, and shared purpose. Through signature events such as the Black & White Ball, community nights, cultural performances, raffles, and auctions, funds raised are directed toward projects that improve the lives of children and families in Bougainville.
From vibrant dancing and storytelling to prize draws and charity partnerships, AROB Day creates a platform where celebration becomes impact — supporting initiatives like playground installations, safety improvements, and community infrastructure back on the island home.
Program Objectives
- Raise funds for Bougainville community development projects.
- Strengthen cultural connection and identity among the diaspora.
- Build partnerships with businesses, community groups, and supporters.
- Create sustainable, repeatable fundraising events across Australian cities.
How AROB Day Fundraising Works
Volunteer committees plan each event, secure sponsors and raffle items, sell tickets, and host the night. Proceeds are pooled and allocated to priority projects, with outcomes reported back to supporters.
"When we celebrate together, we uplift our island home — one project at a time."
Community Impact
Proceeds help deliver real outcomes — from children's playground projects and community safety upgrades to expanding resources and programs that strengthen families and community wellbeing in Bougainville.
How You Can Get Involved
Donate raffle items, sponsor a table, partner as a corporate supporter, or volunteer to help run events. Every contribution strengthens our ability to deliver projects back home.
